SEWING AND LIVING LIFE ON A BUDGET

Hi. I’m Briana. I like to do things. More accurately, I feel engaged and alive when I’m learning new skills. So it’s common for me to pursue new hobbies and return to old ones when life gets boring.

However, hobbies are expensive – especially the unique ones. When I first built this blog, I was aggressively paying off debt so finding ways to keep up with any of my hobbies and meet my financial goals was a challenge.

I’m debt-free now, but the novel coronavirus has upended our economy and made everything uncertain so I am still on a very tight budget. Like this site, sewing is something that I’ve been flirting with the last few years. It’s the perfect hobby for me to pursue right now because I can’t go out, there is always something new to learn and you get to wear your finished product.

This site will include tips, reviews and advice for beginner seamstresses like me who want to learn how to sew but don’t have a ton of money to spend on supplies. I plan to share my successes and my failures and work on projects that are cute but relatively inexpensive. COVID-19 has also limited our shopping options, so finding deals is a bit more of a challenge, but I will share the costs for each project.
